On The Electronic Frontier Foundation site I came across their very interesting page on counterespionage called: “Surveillance Self-Defence”, https://ssd.eff.org/en. On there I found https://ssd.eff.org/en/playlist/journalism-student. This Page discusses in-depth how to circumvent eavesdropping I'm your personal communications as a journalism student. I found this very interesting considering our context.
This sets up an interesting question:
No we cannot just simple accept the fact that OUR government eavesdrops on us, but we must learn how to protect ourselves, even from OUR government. We must continue to demand that OUR government does not continue to infringe upon our privacy rights. I am very aware that we are dealing with terrorists threats on a daily basis, but their is a very fine line in pursuing those who desire to do us harm, and infringing upon OUR RIGHTS.
